Elevtric guitars are much better at hammerons than acoustic, and for an amplifer (amp), just go to wal-mart or something and buy like a $30 amp. You can find great guitars at Zzounds.com, that's where i buy mine, or at any music store. (i recommend Portman's or big city music) or if you want to get a more expensive guitar, go to rock bottom music. remember to get an electric guitar that have good harmonics (google harmonics) and a cheap amp, and amp cord, guitar strap, guitar picks, whammy bar, and a capo.
