two hand tapping on bass?

I've started learning two hand tapping on bass guitar
I understand the basics and have learned a little, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to become better and how to be able to play other things than arpeggios(all ive learned) Im fairly proficient at the instrument but this technique is giving me a hard time ThX
i would apreciate info on muting and patterns and such while two hand tapping,
