New Stick Enterprises Website!
Director of Pubic Relations for Stick Enterprises, Greg Howard, has recently posted to the Stickwire mailing list that the Stick Enterprises folks have set up a new webpage called Learn-Chapman-Stick.com.
The two-handed tapping technique was given a turbocharge of effectiveness when Emmett Chapman, a jazz musician, raised up the tuners of his home-made guitar and discovered that hands approaching the fretboard from each side had an easier time of playing notes. Sounds kind of simple, but it hugely made the two-handed tapping technique more effective.
The content of this website is only slightly similar to the Learn-Chapman-Stick website previously developed as a prototype by competitor Mobius Megatar, which appears to have served as a model to show Emmett Chapman another way to set up a public-service website.
Mobius Megatar is not affiliated with Mr. Chapman, Mr. Howard, nor the Stick Enterprises company in any way, other than flaming admiration for the surging developments of Chapman over the years in the fields of this new playing method and unique approaches to business operation.
Howard, the public relations director, touted as their "Ambassador of Good Will", says that the website provides a new location for links about learning the Free Hands method invented by Emmett Chapman, and using this method on the two-handed tapping instruments that are manufactured by Stick Enterprises of Woodland Hills, California.
According to Howard, he hopes to get things from other people to give away, and asks that people give them things that they can give away on the side..
"I'm also hoping," said Howard, "to include a listing."
There you have it. Another advance in the field of touchstyle music.
