   yes, but the commercial piezo pickups generally have a better tone… I bought one recently, and it sounds much better than the radioshack piezo

    You either wire a pickup to an output jack or you buy a piezo pickup that already has a jack and tape it to the inside of the box under the bridge (usually under the bass side)
