know that you use both hands on the fretboard/neck and play mostly with your fingers but I need to know exactly how to do it. An example of it would be Eruption by Van Halen, in which he two hand taps some of it. And I know its supposed to make you faster, but in a song like Crazy Train (by Ozzy) where you finger tap the first part of the solo its seems like it wouldn't because all of the finger tapping is done on the same string. How would it make you faster to two hand tap on the same string?

This is a fairly difficult technique and the basis of it is like this: in the case of "Eruption" you take one finger on your left hand and put it on the 5th fret of the highest string. Then you stretch your pinky to the eighth fret on the same string using the left hand still. Then take your right hand and place your index finger on the 12th fret of the highest string.
To start basically you kind of side swipe the string while pushing down on the fret with your right hand position then release it to strum the 8th fret your holding down with your left hand. Then strum the string with your right hand (which is now not holding a fret) to sound the 8th string while releasing it to sound the 5th like you did before. Repeat the process slowly then get faster and faster.
That was pretty hard to explain and was probably confusing so its better to look up some youtube videos that explain it much better.
