The higher chords have a sitar-like quality to them. Is that an effect or just your hands?

I’m getting one, I’m doing the layaway plan. I’m extremely excited. How did you choose your tuning? I’m going with the Bass bottom tuning (all fourths), but in reverse so its uncrossed but still low to high, mostly. A kind of “bass top” tuning.
