know that you use both hands on the fretboard/neck and play mostly with your fingers but I need to know exactly how to do it. An example of it would be Eruption by Van Halen, in which he two hand taps some of it. And I know its supposed to make you faster, but in a song like Crazy Train (by Ozzy) where you finger tap the first part of the solo its seems like it wouldn't because all of the finger tapping is done on the same string. How would it make you faster to two hand tap on the same string?

ok, i have had a broken string on my guitar for 2 weeks (getting one tomorrow), and i was trying to play the interlude to Between the Buried and Me's "White Walls", and it goes like:

But ive been doing this (because of broken string): (T= tap note with right, H= hammer "from nowhere with left eg tap with left hard)

                                  T H T H T

and i was wondering, do you think this is how tapping originated, or am i just making do?
ignore T's and H's, they were misplaced, tab was too long
